Austin Commercial Permits · Weekly Roundup
Austin's Biggest New Commercial Projects: Oct 5–11, 2026
Two four-story lab and office remodels on Champion Grandview Way led a quiet, remodel-heavy week of 48 new commercial permit leads.
The City of Austin issued building permits for 48 new commercial permit leads between Monday, Oct 5 and Sunday, Oct 11, 2026. Before counting, we set aside six permits for narrow scopes (EV chargers, a gate and fence, fleet charging, like-for-like windows and a carport). Only 11 of the 48 list a valuation; together they add up to $370,561. Most were interior remodels (44), along with 1 shell building, 1 addition with remodel and 2 additions.
No new buildings made this week’s list. The only shell permit is a temporary building at 9111 Circuit of the Americas Blvd, limited to a foundation and in-ground plumbing, so the leads below are mostly interior finish-outs.
